Tokyo and Seoul are much better imo.
The network in HK has a bunch of annoying failures to connect lines -- only some of them results of geography (water), such that getting from point A to point B is often more complex than it seems like it ought to be.

Examples I remember: - Airport to Lok Ma Chau (5 seats, though Lai King and Prince Edward transfers are cross-platform) - Olympic to Diamond Hill (3 seats if via Lai King)

Yes this. Also the surface transit is not fast though I didn’t use it that much. Those escalators are the shit tho.
