Great illustration. @rideact alone runs 140 buses/hour over the Bay Bridge, *more than twice as many* as this example, and that's just one operator of many. Dedicated bus lanes all the way from Salesforce Transit Center to Emeryville and Downtown Oakland are a no-brainer.

Any idea, given how full the buses are, what the people/minute counts would look like for a bus lane and how that would compare to the car lanes?

A city where one dedicated bus line wouldn't be enough: Beijing. They have piecewise a dedicated bus line and there are sufficient busses that there are bus queues, and staggered stops. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beijin…
