I suspect those rain averages are very heavily weighted towards early May though. It rained in SF this morning!

At SFO average annual rain as of May 1: 12.53", May 15: 12.78", May 31st: 12.97", so not as heavily weighted as I expected.

For SF downtown, March-April-May normals have each month's normal rainfall about half the previous. May-June-July falls faster than that. (May 30 - June 10 is probably a factor of two on its own.)
