Looks remarkably similar to the alleys between Stockton and Grant in San Francisco - 4 story buildings, lots of stores, narrow streets

... though (assuming you're looking at the Yìngchéng photo and not the others in the thread) it's in a more peripheral city, not the central city in its metro area (Wuhan is 90 minutes away by car or train, questionably same metro area). Also, many more photos in the thread...
