@lyft now owns @FordGoBike, and @Uber owns @jump_ride. Maybe now they will get serious about bike/pedestrian safety and congestion? There are nearly 6000 TNCs on the street in SF at peak periods. Here are some things they can do now..

- Use geo-fencing to restrict pick-up/drop on heavily traveled bike routes. - Streamline reporting of bad actors by city, riders, cyclists and remove these individuals from the platform w/ real consequences. - Comprehensive education for all drivers to teach how to share road.

- Share all relevant data with cities + agencies. - Clarify to drivers that there should be no pick up/drop off in bike lanes, and work with cities to identify alternative curbs/streets for these purposes. - Advocate for and pay for protected bike lanes. Other ideas?

The CA DMV Handbook is still telling drivers that they are allowed to PARK IN BIKE LANES. So, other idea: tell DMV to fix their Handbook. The relevant law is CVC 21211.
