Suddenly wondering if @fantasai always had a somewhat British accent and I never noticed until just now, or if she's speaking weird for some reason this morning.

I definitely don't have a British accent, but do I have a tendency to randomly pick up stray bits of pronunciation from people around me, so if I'm around an international group of people my pronunciation gets really inconsistent...

You (@fantasai) were definitely dropping "r"s when you were drawing the static-position diagrams on the whiteboard earlier. Not the first time I've heard you do this...

Yeah, not surprised... I once noticed someone had a slight Southern accent only because I was trying to figure out where I'd picked up a drawl. >__<;;

You should probably stay out of Scotland, that accent is *way* too contagious.

So now I have traces of a New York accent, because I binge-watched the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Christmas Night.

We started watching that a week ago... but have avoided binge-watching. I also have enough family with close to that accent that if I was going to pick it up I would have already...
