An actual UFO is stream down from the sky above the Bay Area, and Twitter is not acting at all like the people in sci-fi fantasies or movies.

Somebody caught it on video
My dashcam picked up what looked like an airburst meteor over San Francisco around 5.32pm today. By the naked eye, looked like a bright shooting star that exploded, leaving cloud trail that persisted for about 15 minutes, illuminated by the setting sun #meteor #SF #shootingstar

Anyone else see this interesting cloud feature? We saw it here at the office. #cawx

Meteor air bursts -- especially the big ones -- seem scary to me. Pretty low probability, though. (If big: avoid shattering glass from windows in the shockwave, and UV radiation from line-of-sight.) Wikipedia rabbit hole starts at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o… (sort by "Energy")
