Yup. It’s a great town to wander round if you have a layover of a few hours or more.

We non-Europeans would need to add an hour for the queue at the border, though. At least, my layovers at Heathrow are usually because I'm going been the USA and somewhere in Europe that's not the British Isles, which don't otherwise require crossing the normal UK border control.

I think Jen has the UK registered traveler thing which makes it much faster. Windsor is literally 20 minutes by cab and there is a very regular bus too, though I was in T5 so that’s less convenient.
