As someone who travels a bit and has a lot of plants, I have a good bit of experience with this. How well plants do for an extended period without watering depends a lot on temperature and on how much sun they get. (Probably humidity too, but I'm really judging by season.)

Will they give partner miles to people with accounts on their Star Alliance partners, or are they further devaluing the alliance by treating their partners' frequent fliers badly?
The lack of this has three failure modes for me:
- I mute the channel, and then don't look at it for months, despite meaning to
- Slack unread tab icon interrupts me when I'm better off not interrupted
- I ignore Slack unread tab icon when it's important (small team channel)

I wish @SlackHQ had the ability to half-mute a channel, where new messages in the channel would still make it bold (maybe in a different way) in the channel list, but where they would *not* cause the Slack tab icon to brighten to indicate that there are unread messages in Slack.

Whether it's true depends on whether you're talking about what's in the spec or what's implemented in browsers, I think.
Ah...I'd expect the cured number to lag behind time-wise by enough that I'd be pretty skeptical of that ratio. (Say, maybe the deaths number lags the curve of confirmed cases by a week or so (maybe less), but the cured curve probably lags by more like 3 weeks.)

ncov.dxy.cn/ncovh5/view/pneu… is showing a 2.53% death rate in Hubei (湖北) province, 1318 of 51986. (Likely both numbers are undercounts, though, but I'd be skeptical it could be 20%.)

And by "the behavior changes", I mean Chrome switches to matching Firefox and Firefox stays the same.

I think the key difference is that (2) is blending against the canvas background (which has a background that comes from body). If you give html a background in (2) so body's background stays on body, then the behavior changes.

In local elections, yes. I know enough of the local politicians to know which of them I'm likely to agree with, and I've made decisions based on their endorsements. (Also, California votes for way too many offices.)

Well, make sure to stay hydrated, and check in on any elderly neighbors whose air conditioning might not be working!

I did watch a Hawaiian plane do a runway 19 takeoff once (straight towards and over the hills). I saw it from the windows of Rotunda A before that was knocked down... so quite a while ago (2000-2005).
Runway 1 landings are very rare here. I average ~10 round trips a year from SFO and I've never done that one. (I've been on takeoffs 28, 1, and 10, and landings 28 and 19.)
Looks like the planes approached as for 28 and then turned pretty close to landing, to avoid hills.

Actually, maybe the latter statement about medical workers was wrong -- but I have too many sources at this point and maybe I'm just getting them confused.
