The trick is to figure out how to send the important notifications and not send the spammy notifications. I'm not saying its easy, but getting it right would be really useful!

We also need to do something on the Mozilla side where we notice new/changed tests that fail, in areas where we would expect tests to pass.

They're also really easy to propagate. Cut branches off an existing one, stick them in a pot with dirt, and water the pot a little more than usual the first month. This is how I currently have 5 of them in my apartment despite buying 1. (Maybe gave 1 or 2 to friends too?) 2/2

Plants like the ones in the second and fourth pictures definitely don't need a ton of light -- best kept out of direct sunlight, although a decent amount of indirect light in the room is good. 1/2

If I had someplace to throw food waste to compost, I'd do that. What I'm wondering is whether putting food waste & soiled paper in a municipal compost bin is actually a win, or if it's a loss because of the energy needed to break down the "plastic" forks/cups mixed in with it.

How effective is composting? I've heard (from a friend not in the field, but who did a bit of research on the topic) that commercial composting is energy-intensive to the point that, at least from a carbon footprint perspective, we'd be better off putting it in a landfill.

Forecast models suggest it could get quite smoky tonight in the San Francisco Bay Area as winds bring a lot of smoke down from fires in Oregon. I'm hoping this will be the last big blast of smoke this season thanks to the rain that's coming.

The Wednesday-Thursday rain forecast (ok, arriving a little before the holiday weekend) is starting to look firmer, and likely to move down the whole CA coast. It looks like there's a decent chance at a second storm Sunday-Monday as well, although that could stay to our north.

We also need the state to make it legal for local governments to use cameras for speed enforcement. Right now that's not legal in California. (More enforcement, and with less bias!)
Maybe also an optimizing compiler?

Also if the taxes have graduated rates they should be marginal rates rather than having discontinuities.

There are also some laws in California to make it easier for renters to get charging stations installed, though it still appear to be tricky: leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/f… leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/f… leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/f… leading to the current law: leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/f…
It's starting to look possible that the San Francisco Bay Area might get some much-needed rain around the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

We'd probably want to add an at-rule() function alongside the selector() function defined in drafts.csswg.org/css-conditi… -- but I'm not sure "at-rule()" is really a good name... and what *is* a good name. The hard part of adding this feature may be figuring out what to call it.

mobile.twitter.com/noahkayra… may also be relevant. (If the plaintiffs didn't brief something that the judge asked for... is that just an unrecoverable mistake at this point, as far as this particular case goes?)

Does Taipei have land value taxes? I was under the impression that property taxes there were effectively indistinguishable from zero (i.e., similar order of magnitude to what Californians pay for vehicle registration). (Otherwise a huge fan of Taipei, though.)
