I also prefer 101 over 280 by a bit on the peninsula because I'm optimizing for fuel consumption and not for scenery.
On the flip side, I sometimes want to optimize for time and take the route with 20 turns. Today that requires Waze rather than GMaps.

Probably don't want those as absolutes, but being able to consider more factors when optimizing would be great. Also, fuel use (hills).
This is not a message I'm used to seeing from the National Hurricane Center.
#Ophelia will likely bring some direct impacts as a post-tropical cyclone to Ireland and the United Kingdom. More: hurricanes.gov

Works fine for me, now. (Also, air outside seems only vaguely smoky right now, but leaving windows closed tonight seems like a good move.)

Menlo Park is, unfortunately, a little flatter than Hornberg, so it won't quite look like that...

The 2017 statewide fire map at google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid… from @CAL_FIRE helps to understand the geography.
Updates from @SolanoSheriff and @FairfieldPolice show #AtlasFire evacuation orders moving closer to more densely populated areas near I-80.

Out of context, this sounds like a description of the US and its electoral system, rather than Habsburg Austria.

How could an entire country be so settled into an established system to allow this state of affairs to continue indefinitely

@bfgeek Do you know if Houdini TF is meeting at TPAC? I haven't heard responses to log.csswg.org/irc.w3.org/hou… or lists.w3.org/Archives/Member… ...

“Mr. Trump considered Mr. Corker... for secretary of state... but was said to have told associates that the 5-foot-7 senator was too short.”
Corker says publicly what other Republicans say privately. nytimes.com/2017/10/09/us/po…

As an American, using “as” in that context sounds very English.
But do you use US cups/teaspoons/etc. or imperial ones?

Ah, right, the system identifier conditions in html.spec.whatwg.org/multipa… are only presence or absence, and not string comparison.

Yes, it's limited. But if state tax marginal rate is greater than 3%, it'll never limit away. Pease removes at most 3% * (AGI - constant).

So people edit that first comment (which IIRC requires being a maintainer, and has no view of history) rather than adding new ones?
1
I don't understand. Where do I look to find the single description that I can read, that allows me to ignore all of the other comments?
