The flight boarded a little late, but nothing out of the ordinary. Still plenty of time to connect in FRA back to SFO.

So a little more detail: today was almost my first flight on an A320neo. That's relevant. In this case, D-AINF flying LH1059, NCE-FRA.

Rebooking passengers from a cancelled flight could be mostly automated, but airlines (@lufthansa anyway) do it very badly.

... I read this while sitting on a plane that isn't going anywhere, in a French airport...

5000 units per year isn't aggressive; it's a slow pace of construction that has (and will) let prices keep rising.

It's clear the @w3ctag doesn't have consensus on the correct pronunciation of "GIF". At least we moved back to the real topic after 20 sec.

The heuristic just becomes part of the API that developers need to understand in order to work around. 6/7

If you design something based on a heuristic, you have to consider how developers will behave once they know the heuristic. 4/7

The web was stuck with EME once W3C made it part of a working group's charter. The real opportunity passed years ago.

Supporting the covenant proposal and opposing the DMCA are different things. (I oppose the DMCA.)

... but at the same time disagree that the covenant proposal is the best path forward. 3/3

... and a bunch of the decision making process involves listening to Moz folks who are. Further, we can agree with EFF's goals... 2/

Twitter probably isn't the best forum for this right now -- but engineers aren't (in general) the experts on law and policy... 1/

Good suggestions. And I'd like to see prison reform that's much broader than just education.

My favorite is the every-40-minutes (I think) Haneda Airport - Keikyu Airport Line - Toei Asakusa Line - Keisei Main? Line - Narita Airport.
