It's common in Japan and maybe some other east Asian countries.

Chrome and Firefox do the same thing on software.hixie.ch/utilities/… and don't add extra line. (margin collapsing helps.) I prefer that layout.

And I actually think Firefox layout of testcase is wrong: should be same as with textarea { vertical-align: baseline} (no display: block).
1
1. should be: bullet is positioned next to a line box, if the first (depth-first) inline or replaced descendant of the block is inline
1
3 if no inline or replaced descendant, then bullet causes creation of a line box and is positioned next to it like 1.
1
2. bullet positioned next to a non-inline replaced descendant, if the first inline or replaced descendant (1^ wrong) is non-inline replaced

FWIW, bullet vertical positioning is hard. There are a bunch of cases Firefox gets wrong. Should break down into 3 basic cases:

For the record, the phone number comes from en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fictit… . And they also require a UK postcode.

OK, @TfL requires faking UK phone number for Oyster card registration. This error doesn't explain rejecting 16505552368 or 0016505552368.

I don't think I went through that rectangle.
Happens about 1x/week; don't want to play audio all the time so I can tell if audio stops when it happens. What sort of hardware issue?

But bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug… suggests the systemd-journald crash is a symptom rather than a cause.
2
Sometimes there's a systemd-journald SIGABRT crash dialog (Ubuntu's reporting stuff) after the pause happens; that's my best clue so far.

No video. If gnome-system-monitor was running, its graph just pauses updating through the whole pause. compiles/rsyncs make no progress.
