So you got rid of all the wrinkles?

You should try moving Thanksgiving to late November to provide a clear demarcation, like your neighbors to the south. 😉

Then again, it's been a *long* time since I was there. (And I'm thinking of the part of 236 between park headquarters and the northern junction with 9.)

I think you might be able to average 25mph if you're on a motorcycle... but I think that's incredibly optimistic for a car.

But also beware that I think parts of highway 35 (Skyline Boulevard, near those open space preserves) are still closed from damage last winter -- parts that are south of the preserves I like, but maybe (?) north of the intersection with highway 9.

There are also some nice redwood forests in El Corte de Madera Creek OSP and in Purisima Creek Redwoods OSP (again in openspace.org/preserves). It's been a *long* time since I've been to Big Basin Redwoods SP park HQ... but IIRC highway 236 is very slow and twisty.

The part of Big Basin Redwoods SP near the coast is more variable and interesting than the more reliably-forested part near the park headquarters, IMO. There are also a good hikes in the preserves at openspace.org/ , especially (for fall) Skyline Ridge or Monte Bello.

Have you seen the coastline in between Santa Cruz and Half Moon Bay? Beautiful scenery, and some good places to go hiking (e.g., Rancho del Oso / Waddell Creek part of Big Basin Redwoods State Park). Most scenic part is probably from a bit N of Waddell Creek to Tunitas Creek.

Maybe she tested it before and I forgot. I'm certainly plenty old enough to forget lots of things. 😐

In this case, mostly the same means only an 0.25 diopter change for the least convergent meridian for my left eye, which means the prescribed lens for my left eye no longer has a cylindrical component. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Correc… explains what this means.
I went for a checkup at the eye doctor today. My vision is mostly the same. But I'm now old enough that she checked my close-up vision. Fortunately, my arms are still plenty long enough. No need for reading glasses anytime soon.

I think fixing it would require moving the image of Japan north by about 70 miles or so, relative to the image of the US.

This is so close to also answering "How far North is Japan?"... but off by just enough that it's misleading.

Is downzoning subject to CEQA review? If not, it seems like it ought to be.

It shouldn't be surprising that corrupt government is also government that doesn't work. If the bids for power line repair had been done in a less corrupt way, the contractor probably would have been more experienced and less likely to make repairs that would fail.

I guess I was coming at the question not from the perspective of what web developers have to do to make things work right in browsers as they are today, but rather if web standards and browsers should be designed to have different defaults so developers can avoid this work.

I notice you commented about accessible source order. Lately the CSS WG has been getting strong feedback from a11y groups that it's important for the order in screenreaders to match the layout. Curious if you hear current sources that disagree, or if it's just change over time.
