Thanks for your feedback. We are considering another business model, but to allow microtransactions, we had to include internal "currency".
You can delete the widget you don't need it and get Energy back in full . What exactly *sucks* about that? That it saves you weeks of app development? Or that you can build a prototype in a few mins? or about spending a few bucks for a nice app? 😃

What's so wrong about it? You can try almost every single feature for free and decide for yourself whether you like it or not. If you like it - you can support Blynk developers with a few 💵, because we hope you understand how much work an app like that requires ;)
you can use a ready-made nodered Blynk plugin which will translate. Plugin and node-red should be run on your side of course
Blynk protocol is very similar to MQTT and we thought about implementing it, but then decided we don't need it 😂
