The article is about hardware development, but regarding servers: isn't it like everywhere else? 🤔 • Your car stops if you don't refuel • Your internet stops when once you stop renewing your plan • Your phone doesn't work if you don't pay • your_variant_goes_here...

Blynk is free for prototyping. This allows companies and individuals not only try the platform, but also test it with potential customers (focus group). As long as they don’t sell devices and services they can use Blynk with as many devices as they want. It’s not a commercial use

Also, in #IoT, hardware worths nothing without the reliable software. Spending the budget on another hardware iteration is not always a best strategy.

Check the costs of iOS and Android app UI design, development, firmware development, cloud infrastructure, and QA. Then account for the time needed to make it a somewhat scalable commercial solution. Comparing to that, $450/month is a real deal with a low risk 🚀 fast launch.

Surely. That's why it's made as open source and you can modify it to your preferences. Thanks for your feedback!
