Go a step further, highlight problems that no one knows the answer to. Kids think science is a known domain because taught material has been solved, but there are so many open questions that need scientists to solve them.

My favorite key management story was solving how to provide government access to customer data in the event the company went out of business, but not prior. The solution involved an encrypted drive with the key broken into multiple pieces and stored at several bank deposit boxes.

Absolutely. The problem I’ve seen is when marketing finds out you want to remove their way to track attribution of sales. It can be worked around, but best to know up front.

As soon as you give kids a grade, their intrinsic motivation to learn becomes extrinsic motivation to learn, which is a very poor motivator in comparison.
