My daughter goes to school out-of-state and renewed her lease already because there was no decision on in-person classes. Even if the school is remote-only in the fall, she’ll be living there instead of saving money by living here with me. Schools are deciding too late.
BTW, a show that features emotional growth over the seasons is the phenomenal “Being Erica” - a Canadian show that not enough people have seen. It’s on Hulu in the US. cbc.ca/arts/7-years-later-be…

Totally agree! I think the reason she didn’t grow is because the show is a counter-narrative to traditional views of womanhood. Perhaps if Carrie had evolved, she would have drifted closer to what women are expected to be (kind and caring), which threatens the underlying premise.

I'm online and am getting it for just that one page. I can hit the main website and it works. And for that one page, I can load it in Incognito and it loads fine. Seems like the "offline" detection is cached in some way?

Now the press release for “Lawful Access to Encrypted Data Act,” which asserts the opposite, that maybe catching bad actors is worth destroying secure communications for everyone. judiciary.senate.gov/press/r…

Looking for an anecdote for the book. Have you ever designed something for a site that inadvertently made people think you were trying to scam them and resulted in a sudden spike in abandonment? If you're willing to share your story, please let me know!

Tip: Set width & height on your <img> elements. This now allows modern browsers to infer their intrinsic size pre-download, reducing layout shifts.
