New type of bug bounty for security researchers? These penalties and rewards for whistle blowers were meant for vendors selling flawed products and now it is clear that security vulnerabilities fall into the flawed product category. apnews.com/2e56253a512a46229…

Anyhow, this is a long way of saying I enjoy Kiefer's work and am bummed that Designator Survivor was cancelled.

Hopefully the next show that Kiefer stars in will find the audience up front, rather than trying to find them by changing the premise of the show between seasons, because that hasn't work at all.

But that third season was brilliant compared to the first two, full of substance and depth. It could have been an incredible show for Netflix, but they would have needed to invest more energy in attracting different fans given the changes made.

The problem is the style and pace change meant that the fans from the first two seasons that prefer action/adventure once again departed and Netflix cancelled the show (presumably due to low viewership) after airing it for only two weeks (!).

Designated Survivor learned the lesson from Touch and Seasons 1 and 2 were more aligned with "24", but the ratings were not good enough to get a third season. Likely to address the low ratings, the show pivoted to a "Madam Secretary"-style political drama on Netflix.

With low ratings of Season 1 of Touch, Season 2 was reimagined into more of a "24"-oriented plot line that would better appeal to Kiefer's fan base. Except that fan based all exited in Season 1, and everyone who stayed were turned off by Season 2. Low ratings killed it.

When @RealKiefer starred in Touch, the show was an amazing story of connectedness and employed actors and locations that typically don't show up in American TV (except as tropes). It was beautiful, however Kiefer's "24" fan base was looking for action/adventure and abandoned it.

I finally had a chance to watch the third season of Designated Survivor and it was the best yet! But I'm not surprised @netflix cancelled it - it had the same issue as Touch, but in reverse.

Nice try, but I'm not buying security tooling through a reseller. If I can't negotiate a contract directly with the vendor to hold them accountable for their product (and likely my data), I'm not buying that product.

I'm looking for anyone who recently/currently works at an American bank to help me understand how they help domestic violence victim customers who are experiencing financial abuse. The Internet is a barren wasteland for this. Please retweet for reach! Anonymity guaranteed.

Thanks, I like your questions. Vendor management is an area that could use some disrupting with a new approach.

Same magical accounting as movie studios. Return of the Jedi is a money loser having taken $475 million at the box office, with a budget of $32.6 million. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holl…

There are a lot of projects at @owasp, you might ask them.
Pro-tip: start every to-do list with “Make a to-do list” and cross it off. Easy way to feel productive!

We took our US minivan with us to Europe. It’s was the same size as their delivery vans, and in some cases larger. Going to Ikea was fun because everyone else was carefully tying a tower of boxes on their roof. We opened the back of the van, tossed it all in and left.

Always wanted to go. They broke off from Defcon because they eschew modern technology, but still hack barns, buck boards, and butter churners.
