I celebrate my kids mistakes as lessons learned so that they don’t feel any shame about it.
Now my daughter enjoys telling me all the mistakes she made each day.
Today my therapist asked "what if being wrong didn't automatically mean you are also worse as a person?" and my brain divided by zero and rebooted.

Grades are antithetical to learning. Learning is about making mistakes (otherwise, what is there to learn?), but grades demand no mistakes.
For the university that loves grades, I see low grades as a failure of the university, not the student.
