Of course the tablet market is in decline. Everybody’s already got one, and there’s no compelling reason to upgrade.

We have one older tablet that we share in our family. No compelling reason to get another one.

Yep. I have an iPad 2 that still runs the latest iOS and apps. I barely use it, but my kids love it.

Instead of upgrading, I got a Toshiba Chromebook 2 and installed linux on it. Pretty powerful and sleek for $279.

I am still very happy with my iPad 2 and will certainly get a new one, when this one breaks down. But not before that.

Keep it away from your basement and it should last a long time. Tablets don't do well with fires and floods.
