The ridiculous lengths the State of Arizona makes you jump through to switch to in-state college tuition to establish "residency". Oddly, they have very little requirements to establish residency for tax purposes.

To enroll my kid in school I needed more paperwork and evidence of residency than I needed to get a mortgage.

Do you live in Palo Alto? That school district is fanatical. Told me they would send the police to make sure I really lived at my address. 🙄

No but same kinda deal here. Signing legal contracts stating I'll be sued if I lie. Ridiculous.

That’s why I like the Finnish model. All schools get the same funding and opportunities. Makes no difference where you live. Their whole approach is to make education equitable.
