Connecting with humans remains the top way to land a job. PS: online applicant tracking software tech isn’t that advanced. Most OCR parsing hasn’t evolved much in several decades, and AI is just if/thens and marketing buzz. fastcompany.com/3069166/i-bu…

Every job I’ve had over my ENTIRE life has been because I knew someone on the inside, starting with my first job washing dishes.

My first job was washing dishes too! I knew the cook. Then scooping ice cream, cause I knew a scooper. Then bar backing, on an intro. I landed jobs from cold applying, but my success was rooted in class privilege preparing me. I want to make it easier for others.

You know something is broken when there are a ton of people wanting to break into infosec and a ton of open jobs, and the complaint is there are not enough good candidates to fill the open roles. 🙄
