I’ve often dreamed about creating a program like this. The problem of course is turn over. You invest so much in this worker and they leave. You’d have to give them a 50% raise to keep them for more than a year or two tops and most budgets at corps don’t work that way.

BTW I’ve done entry-level training for information security, not as a coat-cutting measure, but as the community service I wish I had when I was first starting out.
Anyone complaining how hard it is to fill positions and is not offering entry-level jobs is literally the problem.
