If only 42% of US high schools offer 1 CS subject, and only 3% of college grads get a CS degree, #Security hiring managers better get used to “non-traditional” candidates. Stop arguing over whether you have to be “technical” to succeed in security.

I have a degree in Computer Science and it did not prepare me for a career in security.
Turns out 50% of the work is influence. It’s easier to hire a people-person and teach them security than the reverse.
