You can use a browser extension such as Honey that tracks prices and lets you know if the price is lowest and/or cheaper elsewhere. Just have to trust the security and privacy of it.

It can be illegal under antitrust or discrimination laws, but I think overall using algorithmic pricing is legal (which is a cornerstone of airline pricing models).
