These have a *WIRED* USB-C connection. Seems like a very 1990s form factor to have a wire running from glasses to phone.

I wonder if it is because it would be too heavy with a battery and Bluetooth chipset/antenna? Or the battery wouldn’t last long enough for using it for work? Upside is less attack surface.

Definitely an upside in that way - but I can’t imagine ever wearing them

With or without a cable, it’s unlikely I’d wear one either, but then again, I don’t wear a (smart)watch, Fitbit, or jewelry, so I’m clearly not the target audience.

I have a wearable obsession - right now I wear an @ouraring, a @whoop and an Apple Watch daily. And I just can’t imagine wearing something wired.

Guess I’m your dark mirror opposite. My mouse, keyboard, and headphones are all wired and I wear no tech.
