dear music/tech industry: please bring back headphones/headphone alternatives that do not cause me bodily pain. AFAIK earholes are not the size of wine bottle openings, so i don't know why/when these bigass ear-corks became a thing but i kinda hate you for it.

They’re foam similar to ear plugs, you compress them, then they expand in the ear. Snug, comfortable fit that keeps out noise. Only downside is the foam wears out, so you have to keep spares available and swap them out periodically. Otherwise, it’s heaven.

One last tip, you’ll have to experiment to figure out the size and style that is most comfortable. Even though I’m 6’3”, my ear holes are small, which is why standard earbuds cause my ears to ache, they’re way too big (same problem you have).
