My 19 year old just asked me if she could have a beer and for support she said, “Does it really matter at this point? My college semester is over. You turned my room into a closet. You won’t let me leave the house. My life sucks. For the love of God let me have a drink woman.”

When we lived in Europe, my 16-year-old went out drinking and clubbing with her friends. We moved back a couple of years later and she had to wait to turn 21 to do the same here. Or so you’d think, turns out 16-year-olds also drink here, just not legally. 🙄
