Millions of these frauds take place every single day. I wonder how many aren’t able to contest them & either pay or have their truly good credit data destroyed. Insurance with zero accountability & flat out fraud is killing us.
$600 for my son who lived about 3 minutes. He received no medical care. At all. As he died almost immediately he didn’t get enrolled in my insurance plan, so I got the bill. From the hospital where I was a doctor.

I had surgery on my hip and the bills kept changing. After calling the billing department several times, I finally got through. The booking person looked at my bill, told me it was wrong, not to pay it, and they'd send a corrected bill. Then they sent me to collections.

Something is seriously wrong with the healthcare in the U.S. This is definitely one of the main reasons I repeatedly declined offers to relocate from the UK: I don't always use NHS, but if I need it, it's there and it works. I'd call these taxes well spent.

Health care that doesn’t bankrupt you is awesome, but what I REALLY miss about working in Europe is the six weeks of vacation each year.

Technically it was 28 days, plus country/company holidays, which pushed it to ~35 days a year. This was in Luxembourg and it was awesome.
