my elementary school took us to visit the police dept and they fingerprinted all the kids as part of the visit. my parents were the only ones to not consent in advance. I felt left out at the time. in retrospect, hell yeah, thanks for watching out for my future crime options

There were kids kidnapped by clowns in a van in a nearby town when I was a kid. Everyone was very paranoid and got lots of kids got fingerprinted. 30 years later I’m not sure how I feel about it.
