I have a relative with a weird and chronic medical condition. Has been through two exploratory surgeries and no diagnosis, every doctor seems stumped. On TV this is where you go to House MD. In real life: who deals with these mysteries?

NPR ran an article about the Undiagnosed Disease Network, which has “identified 31 previously unknown syndromes and they've cracked more than a third of their cases”. npr.org/sections/health-shot…
