I would love to put together an event around "user safety, harm reduction, and tech" Are there folx in the tech community interested in this? Anyone with connections to $$ that would be interested in sponsoring an event like this?

Maybe we can get @tweetinjules to talk about the framework at the to-be-named Safety by Design conference. And perhaps @Arm + @simonsegars would be willing to sponsor, as a leader in the IoT space.

After sleeping on language, I want to stick with "harm reduction" as a frame for this first event. There are ways that "safety" has been and continues to be used to marginalize and exclude certain communities. For this first event, I would like to keep it as inclusive as possible
