It seems a big part of hacking is downloading random 3rd party tools off the internet and just shoving them into your asessment environment. 🧐

Having a pen tester run a free tool will cost you $1, it’s the knowing which tool to run and triage results that costs $49,999.

Yet sadly, many companies only bother with spending the $1 on tools. Because of the pervasive mentality on higher management levels that all employees are replaceable and interchangeable, especially for domains where it's hard for outsiders to understand the complexities.
