Barcelona’s #IOTSWC was a resounding success. The #AutomotiveSecurity Demo highlighted how #cybersecurity can compromise vehicles believed to be “safe”. How can we say any #vehicles are safe if we don’t test cybersecurity as part of the functional #safety #certification process?

That was a landmark case. I was mentioning it last week when discussing safety testing and the importance of thoroughly assessing it. It’s unfortunate that the small settlement covered up the severity of the situation. The safety failure resulted in both bodily injury AND death.
