This focus on a few weeks of leave from work... For many more years after that they get sick, need to be picked up and dropped off from daycare/school, etc. Who is handling that? Combine it with a growing “we are family” work culture with long days that go well into the evenings

I always talk about family time when interviewing for a new role, because I will need it for when kids are sick, school activities, etc, and I’m not missing their science fair or winter concert because work can’t live without me for a couple of hours.
