Algorithmic determination of premiums based on detailed fitness data is bad bad bad. OTOH a policy discount for doing some exercise is not something I'm against. The cost savings will not just be for the insurance industry, the taxpayer will save big on healthcare costs.

I get your point. But I wonder: 1)how do I know how much are my data worth? If that discount is a fair consideration for the data? 2) how this will affect pre-existing conditions? A single spike in heartrate > no reimbursement of health costs years later? It's a slippery slope
