My 13-year-old self would have been over the moon to have a RPG monster published. I'm pretty jazzed too. You can see my Deathhead Spider and 110+ other monsters in the newly released Monsterary of Zimrala by @Trollgodfather. It's on sale! drivethrurpg.com/product/414…

Brits days away from cannibalism. “could have potentially irreversible impacts on global civilisation”
I've spent 2 decades studying dynamics of societal crisis & collapse. It’s now clear that Liz Truss is leading Britain into a convergence of crises that is likely to culminate in an unprecedented social and economic collapse 🧵/1 bylinetimes.com/2022/10/14/b… @BylineTimes
I get a recurring spam SMS, so thought I’d see what the scam is all about. The premise is you get a robot vacuum for $6, but they charge you $72 a month for a “membership”. Tempted to do it and collect $10k from them for violating the TCPA.
Is your education focused only on pentesting-type skills, or do you cover other areas as well? Eg AppSec, Security Compliance, Vendor Management, Security Operations, Security Culture and Training, etc?

When I return a rental car, I always check the interior to make sure I got everything. Apparently not everyone does. nbc-2.com/news/state/2022/10…

Me: I don’t want Siri but I do want CarPlay. @Apple: No.
LinkedIn has finally learned the variety of responses I use when replying to inquiries via DMs.

Anyhow, I got the article and called to cancel. The agent was actually really nice and made it easy for me to cancel (although I would have preferred to do it online). /end
I wait a couple of hours, I still can't read the article. So I think, maybe I should log out, then log back in. I log out and instantly the article appears. Turns out the article is readable when I'm not logged in, but it won't let me read it with my subscription?😂

So I call. And spend 10 minutes with the agent trying to find my account using my name, phone, address, email, account number, and order number. It doesn't exist in their system. So that's 10 minutes of my life gone. Her advice was to wait until their systems catch up.

I try to chat with Customer Service. I paste in the article URL and say that I want to read it. Their chatbot complains I've entered a credit card number and won't let me submit. Turns out the WSJ uses URLs that have credit cards numbers in them. Not really, but they think so.

I pay the subscription, and go back to the article (which btw, is not findable via their search function. Apparently indexing their articles is hard?). Article is still locked and says I need to subscribe. Tf? I'm a subscriber now. So I give it a few minutes, still no go.

I wanted to print a 2009 article from the @WSJ, but their website insisted I had to subscribe because I was out of "free articles". I don't normally read the WSJ, but whatever. It's $8 and I'll cancel right after I print it. 🧵👇

“Amazon is a serial killer.”
Last Friday, CBS cancelled a segment about our clients suing Amazon for selling suicide kits to their now deceased kids. CBS’ cowardice gave me renewed clarity about how urgent this litigation is. 🧵@naomi_leeds 1/

On the benefits of embracing remote (for roles where it makes sense) Our recruiting lead at @sardine has hired 50+ Sardines while living in Sweden!

Replying to @RSnake @Gillis57
I still have some catching up to do in both departments :)
Replying to @Gillis57
@RSnake was the first person that taught me that one could be both handsome AND a hacker.

But then how would I know the lyrics to the HR Pufnstuf theme song? Some sacrifices are worth it.

New Zoo Revue is now in my brain! Lots of theme songs surface from time to time: HR Pufnstuf Mighty Mouse George of the Jungle Super Chicken Batman (Adam West) Hong Kong Fooey Felix the Cat Wonder Woman Etc… I’ll even play them for my kids and they’ll think I’m really old.
