My bad, thanks for the correction! Incredible story, glad you were able to record it with your dad.

That time the US dropped two hydrogen bombs on Kentucky that were 250 times more powerful than Hiroshima and had to be defused. Listen in tomorrow!

Does anyone have a good solution for managing TLS certs for use with grpc (mutual auth)? I found this, but wanted to see if anyone has something deployed that they have used and trust. jbrandhorst.com/post/certify…
It was 11 years ago and a HDD, so prices may be very different but my total cost to recover 33 GB was $1700, which incl diagnostics, recovery, media to return data on, and shipping both ways. They recovered everything except 2 files, and I got family pics back. Totally worth it!

I’ve used this service before (@OntrackUS), expensive but they got my data back. Would totally use them again, although my backup habits are better now, so hope I never need to. ontrack.com/services/data-re…

Do you know if it’s a by-product of staffing issues due to the shutdown? Or a change in policy?
If you ever have problems with @owasp events, please send an email to compliance@owasp.org - it goes to just two people, Fiona Collins and myself. We love to root out asshattery.

Received an old-fashion music CD from Germany today because the 9-year-old album isn't available electronically in the US on any platform (it is available outside the US). I had this problem more while living in Europe, but it is still a reminder that region-locks harm commerce.

It's interesting to note that @Apple, @Google, and @amazon were also sued for similar failures to prevent unauthorized spending by children, and they too had to issue refunds, but I don't recall any of them referring to big-spender kids as "whales". #crass @facebook
Facebook was tricking 5-year olds into spend hundreds or thousands on platform games, then refusing to refund the charges when shocked parents found out. Facebook employees referred to big-spender kids as “whales”, and kept denying refunds 😦 revealnews.org/blog/a-judge-…

Beyond what others have said, if you’re a government official, you’re being targeted by foreign actors, no FBI warning needed.

I moved on to hosting ‘carnivals’ in my backyard, including a homemade ride involving a folding lounge chair, some metal racks for a track, and a picnic table to launch from. The maze was a bunch of boxes taped together that you’d crawl through and hopefully didn’t get lost in...

My youngest asked me if hackers are real. When I told her yes, she said she’d watch out for anyone wearing a hoodie. She also now pretends to be a secret agent that fights hackers...physically.

One of my first wage lessons as a boy was collecting used newspapers from my neighborhood, dragging them home in a wagon, unloading them in the shed, then loading the entire load into a truck and getting paid at the recycling center. Total? Maybe $30 for dozens of hours of work.

There's a bug in @dvdnetflix where hovering over Pride and Prejudice will show the actors and director from the movie just previously was hovered over. I'm enjoying this more than I should...
