The concern of advertising/tracking identifiers is exactly what drove Apple to adopt measures that actively conflict with keeping user accounts secure and to prevent fraud. Apple chose privacy over security for their users, so +1 on keeping that dynamic in mind.

@AmericanAir Thanks for the back-to-school miles promotion! Wish I could participate but school started last week and shopping was well before that. Something to keep in mind for next year.
I wonder who lives here? Google Street View wasn't even allowed down the street, they had to ride a bike along the adjacent path... google.com/maps/place/1815+B…

I’m reminded of the fictional book The Good Earth, which deals with this topic set in China.

I'm on the compliance committee for @OWASP and the most disruptive people are not the overt asshats, but the ones that are subtle, which shields them in a way because only a few see it. I think most good people in our industry have a list of bad actors that they avoid.

I was so impressed, I was tempted to buy their solution and offer it as a service to local construction companies and/or their clients who want to keep a record of the work being done, and that it conforms to the building plans. Maybe I still will!

I'll have to listen to it, but this is the company: siteaware.com/. Their tech is amazing and they had stories, such as a mistake being made while building a race track and rather than having to dig up the entire track, they replayed their footage and found the problem.

I was bummed when I lost my 100k followers. Now I’m down to just 500.

I’ve ran up to the door closed, said “guessed I missed it” and the attendant told me to wait while she scurried down the gangway to see if the plane door was closed - it wasn’t and I got on. Flying is exhilarating in a non-fun way.

Coolest thing I’ve seen lately is a drone that circles around a construction site each day and alerts when construction deviates from the building plans.

Not all financial crime is high tech: thieves stole $7800 from a checking account by stealing a rent check from the mailbox, changing the amount and payee, then depositing it. finance.yahoo.com/news/someb…
Doesn’t everyone have a billion+ connections? 😂😂😂

My son only told me about it. His take: “not worth the time and money”

In their defense, @NASSorg hasn’t hired their Cybersecurity Program Manager yet, although the requirement of being able to “accommodate many bosses” makes me wonder the type of person they’re really after: nass.org/about-nass/job-list…

Wonder if it targets regex searches by overwhelming the amount of memory dedicated to parsing the email body.
Got my tickets, looking forward to another great event!
