Defcon is way too crowded for me - I found it difficult to get into talks I wanted to see, which was mostly my reason for being there. If you plan to hang out and don’t care about the agenda, then go. It is an experience unlike anything else.

When I worked at @PayPalInfoSec, one of my contractors was being converted to FTE, but it took so long, she was going on maternity leave w/o benefits. My manager fought to get her converted quickly so she would be covered (and did). Good employers should be celebrated!
