So far today is going great. I tried to fix my bike's flat tire and it went flat again an hour later. And now my external SSDs aren't mounting which is making it very hard to do work. Can I call in a "technical difficulties day"? It's like a sick day but for my stuff.

weird, I think it means I am blocked by the instance. You should email the instance admin to find out why. I'm curious too!

good thing I posted that before the new "rules" went into effect? not that I believe for a second they wouldn't apply the rules retroactively

It's not, but mostly because it's pretty messy. I do have this which is a standalone ActivityPub project meant to integrate into other sites, needs some updates though. github.com/aaronpk/Nautilus

I built it directly into my site in like 2018. Finally paid off haha
wow I didn't expect the policy to get written to actually prohibit linking to other platforms like Mastodon... good thing my website is not running Mastodon and is my own first-party platform, not third-party. help.twitter.com/en/rules-an…

hm, I suppose so, but I'd want to use the S3 signed request thing to avoid persistent links to the files being available. Looks like Shopify does that built in with their digital downloads app.

Yes! This is exactly why we've been taking this more incremental approach with #IndieWeb building blocks, like adding Microformats to turn a web page into a parseable feed, then Webmention to enable conversations, etc.

I'm considering moving my Gumroad listings to ConvertKit or Shopify, it's not clear whether there are bandwidth fees for the digital downloads. Here's my product, note the file sizes aaronpk.tv/stress-test/

"that's how you get ants" 😂😂😂 I agree tho, the new 1Password has some issues compared to the previous version, but it's still better than the alternatives.

I had to do the same to verify my 2020 returns. I had to file my 2021 returns even tho my 2020 weren't processed yet. Eventually I started calling every day the minute the office opened, and one day finally got through with only a 2 minute wait.

These settings remove the blatant noise from my mentions, but it turns out there's just a lot of actual very confused people debating whether people should be treated with respect.

If that was my last tweet it was nice knowing you all 👋 The elmo club is out in full force tonight and I have no idea what I'm going to wake up to tomorrow in my replies and DMs 🥲
