I have the X2 and it's a lot of fun! I mostly use it for 360 photos and time warp videos. Using the editor is a little time consuming, and I definitely wouldn't edit anything longer than 30 seconds with it.

I will admit I jumped to conclusions when you cited ORS 814 if you admit that it is victim blaming and wrong to say that the cyclists contributed to this incident at all

Acting as though the cyclists did anything unreasonable here is just not a good faith argument. I'm not sure what you wanted them to do differently. Keep in mind that if he *had* started crossing any earlier, the van would have hit more than his front wheel.

I don't think I want to live in your world where it's perfectly acceptable to plow down pedestrians for entering the crosswalk the split second it starts counting down. That driver blew the red light, there's no situation in which a pedestrian or biker is at fault for that.

here's a still from the video right before they began to cross that clearly shows a green "WALK" symbol. So pls stop w the nonsense abt how the bike riders shoulder any of the legal fault here.

In your still frame, you've circled the crosswalk as it's counting down, it's well over 9 seconds at that point. I'm sure you're aware that crosswalk signals start counting down while it's still safe for pedestrians to be crossing.

You are not going to like my answer, but it is the path of least resistance for me. I post *everything* first to my website, and my website handles syndicating it to Twitter and via ActivityPub.

and no I'm not actually using Mastodon, and yes everyone I've followed I've grouped into different lists, I don't have a "main timeline" to read. That's helped a lot, I can choose to dip into different communities when I want to.

good news: my Mastodon/fediverse timeline has already ramped up to the level of activity of my Twitter timeline bad news: catching up on my Mastodon/fediverse timeline is now as noticeably bad for my mental health as Twitter was

Whenever I open twitter now, the home timeline has like 2 new tweets. I'm not sure if this is because the twitter infrastructure is failing, or because actually there was one person individually responsible for creating your home timeline and they were fired last week

ohh I just realized that the reason I was in Lisbon was because I was at one of the W3C meetings of the Social Web Working Group, working on the IndieWeb/ActivityPub specs! How poetic. 😇
