Has anyone built a great Moves clone for iOS yet? It’s been a while since I checked. Moves’ location tracking is consistently one of my favorite things I use my phone for, but the day I find a usable replacement is the day I finally can stop giving FB full location access.

I've been meaning to add more visit detection to Overland. It'll record good raw visit data right now but there's no venue detection yet.

How are/would you do raw visit data? Apple’s CLVisit API still isn’t really as good as you’d want it to be :/

Actually if you also run high-res GPS logging then the visit data is basically 100% accurate. It records a visit exactly 10 minutes after you stop somewhere. If you want to experiment with it, that's what all the toggles in Overland are for! overland.p3k.io

Huhh, interesting! Never would have guessed, but that makes sense about CoreLocation using whatever GPS data it has. Curious to experiment with the best-case scenario; I wonder if CLVisit is as smart as Moves is about properly logging < 10-minute visits.
