I'm learning about IndieAuth, an effort to consolidate Web identities. The idea is that you log in websites with your personal domain

How it works, is that I'd publish a link like <a rel="me" href="nitter.vloup.ch/taravancil"/> on taravancil.com

Then I'd tell the app I want to sign up with to look at taravancil.com for the link. This hinges on it being easy to set up domain

Sure, tools exist to make that easier, but plain and simple setting up a personal domain is not easy for most folks

But w Dat and Beaker, creating a new domain is seamless. It's as simple as clicking a button, and tada! You've minted a new keypair/domain

Does anyone know what happened to IndieAuth? It doesn't appear the project is active. I'd like to hear more about the project's history

What did you see that makes you think it's not active? I and many others use it every day!

It's more about what I *didn't* see :D I'm so glad to hear it's still active and in use!
