Wait, so Apple bought TestFlight, and now even Beta apps need to be reviewed?!?!?! what the fucking fuck?

@rknla Once. After that "Review" of minor updates is automatic and instant.

@Gernot So, TestFlight is no longer a viable way to distribute apps to friends :( Is there any way to do that for free anymore?

@rknla Signing is the thing. You either have Enterprise or Ad-Hoc. But that's always been that way, hasn't changed.

@Gernot Ah, hm.. seems then I need to put a website up somewhere to be able to link someone to it?
1
@rknla Yeah, that, or Hockey, or any of the 1000 other sites that do betas over-the-air. Also there's iTunes, MDM, VPP.

@Gernot Hockey costs money now, but it looks like @aaronpk has a good writeup of How To aaronparecki.com/articles/20… Maybe it’s still valid?

@rknLA @Gernot Pretty sure that method of OTA distribution still works.

@aaronpk @Gernot Yep, it seems to. A few subtle differences (Export for Ad-Hoc Distribution, and requires https), but otherwise 👍
