How do you even call a different city's 911 dispatchers?

9-1-1 Centers have the ability to patch you through to the correct one based on the location of response needed. 2/3

That's good to know, thanks! Is that going to be faster/more reliable than calling the city's non-emergency number?

Look up the emergency phone number for that city police department and/or emergency number for county police

I got through on the non-emergency number. Everything else on the site said to call 911, couldn't find an emergency non-911 number.

if you are calling in an emergency via cell phone you can sometimes end up in another jurisdiction. 1/3

if it is not an emergency call the closest business line of the Police/Fire/EMS agency. After hours usually will patch you too. 3/3
