Are the new MacBook airs good enough to do video editing and frontend dev on? Or do I need to spring for a pro? My 2015 croaked yesterday

They can do both but it's not *crazy* fast on the video editing side. The pro is impressively fast.

Yeah I have an M1 Pro for work and it’s really great but I’d like to save the $800 for my personal 😅

I've been editing all my videos on my M1 Air and it's just fine. I'm sure it's not as fast as the M1 Pro but I don't have any complaints. I use Resolve, so I can't speak to the performance for other video editors.

Did you go for 8 or 16?

16gb for sure, and 1TB SSD, and now I can work on a project on the internal drive which is nice
