Remember the Eye-Fi SD card? that was so good! why doesn't anything like that exist anymore? At this point you'd think at this point Apple/Google/Amazon would want to make one that uploads to their own clouds or something

I have wondered the exact same thing(s) many times. It's weird... Some of us still use DSLR cameras for good stuff.

okay it turns out Canon actually has this feature image.canon but it works by pairing with your smart phone. Which I guess makes sense.

What do professional photographers use? I swore I read about some auto-upload mechanisms for photojournalism, commercial parks, and events. Maybe we need the consumer version?

I remember some of the features not working great, especially connecting it to a phone, but I had mine set up to auto-upload my photos to Flickr when I got on my home wifi, and it worked flawlessly for that!
