I enjoy editing still photos in Lightroom and tweaking colors and contrast and such, but I need to figure out how to translate that to enjoying color grading video, because right now it's my least favorite part of the process and instead I use the footage straight out of camera

Have you tried Resolve Studio? I haven't done color grading with it, but I've heard it makes the process easier.

I actually do edit all my videos in Resolve, and it's by far my favorite over Final Cut and Premiere, I just haven't been able to get into the color grading tools for some reason! Which is kind of ironic actually

Ah, then yeah, I don't have any advice beyond that! I've heard about people who use Resolve just for color grading and move the result into Premiere.

Yup. I probably just need to find the right people who do tutorials on it.

If you use the scopes to compare the two images (waveform, vectorscope...) you can get there somehow easily with contrast, curves and saturation. Resolve is ❤️‍🔥!
